Why a blocked downpipe is worse than it looks
When a downpipe is blocked, the gutter turns into a long pond. That standing water sits against the fascia and roof edge and works its way in.
Water that can't get down the pipe often backs up and overflows at the join, running straight down the wall and pooling at the footings.
Underground stormwater lines can block too, and a downpipe that backs up at ground level usually points to a problem further down the system.

Downpipe clearing is included in our storey-based gutter pricing, from $250 plus GST single-storey and $360 plus GST double-storey. Badly set blockages may take longer, confirmed before we continue.
When a gutter clean may take longer
Our standard pricing allows up to 1.5 hours on site, which covers the vast majority of residential gutter cleaning jobs. On the rare occasion a job takes longer due to heavy build-up, roof complexity, or access issues, additional time is charged at $90 + GST per hour after that. Any extra time required will be discussed before continuing.
